Informed Choice Washington (ICWA) is proud to announce the recognition of one of our key team members, Bernadette Pajer, by the Tennessee State Legislature for her service to public health.
Representative Susan Lynn and Senator Frank Niceley co-sponsored House Joint Resolution 1174 to “honor and commend Bernadette Pajer for her exemplary service to the State of Tennessee as a tireless advocate on behalf of public health.”
Bernadette, who serves as ICWA’s President and Public Policy Director, now resides in Tennessee, but she has not abandoned her beloved native Washington. Rather, she has broadened her advocacy mission to include her new home state, helping provide educational materials and expert witnesses to legislators so they have the opportunity to make informed votes on behalf of their constituents.
Bernadette recently helped arrange for several nationally-renowned physicians to testify before the Tennessee Legislature. Drs. Paul Marik, Pierre Kory, Ryan Cole, Richard Urso, John Littel, and Robert Malone, along with local doctors and nurses, provided their subject matter expertise regarding ivermectin and naturally-acquired Covid immunity. These efforts led to the passage of two key Tennessee bills: SB2188, which makes ivermectin available over the counter with pharmacist consultation; and HB1871 (see amendments HERE and HERE), which recognizes that naturally-acquired immunity is at least as protective as Covid shots.
“I work with great teams in both Washington State and Tennessee,” Bernadette said. “Grassroots citizen efforts to educate and advocate and reclaim our inalienable rights are growing. The key difference between the two states is the stance of the incumbent legislators. In Tennessee, my experience has been that the majority stand firmly with medical freedom and informed consent. There has never been a more important time to get active, to learn the medical freedom stance of candidates, and to vote.”
Please join us in wholeheartedly congratulating and thanking Bernadette for her tireless efforts in advocating for public health reform, scientific integrity as a basis for policy, and informed consent. Her passion and dedication provide a shining example for all of us to follow.
