(Feb. 7, 2025) Hosts discuss bills moving through Olympia: HB 1399, which is attempting to remove a Sheriff’s right to interpret the state and federal Constitutions (what is known as being a “Constitutional Sheriff”), and HB 1531, which would censor local government bodies, forcing them to “implement and promote” what the state deems to be “evidence-based, appropriate measures to control the spread of communicable diseases”, and nullifies any local statute, ordinance, rule, or policy that the state considers to be in violation.
